Birthday Cake - 2007

This is my first ever birth day cake of my life. Friends and colleagues, have taken many pics. but out of all, only these two survived and reached me, after many followups. Thankyou all of you .. for the cake as well as pics.

That day, they had applied the cream every possible exposed part of my body, except the dress, every other place. Somehow, that's a nice experience.

Luck - Joke

Recently, I've read a joke about Luck and interview. The story says that it is published in Readers Digest magazine, not sure how far is that true. But some how, it made me to post here... and also i feel that it has a point.

Situation: With a pile of 300 resumes on a desk, as well as a necessity to recruit few among them quick.

Boss: Pick up the 50 resumes beneath the pile and make arrangements for quick interview

Interview Panel: What shall we do with the rest of 250 resumes

Boss: Dump them in dust bin

IP: Throw away 250 resumes ???!!!##$$$%%^&*@@## ...

Boss: Do it with out much of time waste

IP: We are shocked to listen such response. What if the best candidates are there ??

Boss: You have a point ..

Boss: But then again, I don't need the people with bad luck

4 New Tools on a single day

After a long time, I've installed 4 new tools on a single day. By this, you can understand how free am on that day. Am free not just because of lack of work, but due to lack of concentration on work. I don't know how this happened, but when i look back, i realise that last Friday is my worst day at office. The list of the new tools as mentioned below.

1) Spice Bird : Spicebird is your one platform for many collaboration needs. It provides e-mail, calendaring and instant messaging with intuitive integration and unlimited extensibility.

What made me to install this tool is about the time widget.

2) Rocker : Rocker is a mouse navigation tool that lets you perform common tasks, like moving forward and backward in your browser, by simply rocking your fingers across your left and right mouse buttons.

I didn't really find the purpose of this tool. Though it talks about lots of things, none of any that i experienced. Am a dissatisfied customer for them.

3) Xobni: Xobni Insight is an add-on for Microsoft Outlook that offers effortless email management and provides instant access to the most important information in your email.

Apart of all the other tools, i found this as more interesting. This has some good features such as .. converting mails as Conversation, list of people those are in-connection with the source mailer and between, .. list goes on .. I recommend this to give a try.

4) MindMapper: Mind map is simply a visualization tool which helps you think and learn more proficiently. A mind map is a graphic diagram used to represent your thoughts and ideas, tasks, or other items linked to a central key idea or theme.

But I uninstalled this today.

This is the office where i'm working currently. I'm sitting on 7th floor, right 2 floors above the "Welcome to the UAE - Dubai" floor.

And the photo which is hanging to our building is of the current ruler of Dubai.

Here every where you will see their photos, just like Gandhi, Nehru, bla.. bla.. people...

Guys... forgot to mention about the freebies at the finish point. There is a big van that distributing the fruits and a van of icecreams.. i took 2 ice creams

Along with the fruits and ice cream, you also see the certificate given by the charity foundation, to every one. I too have collected one, but dont know what to do with that. Let's see how and where this will be useful.

After coming back from the run, in room, while transferring the images from Santhosh's camera to Shadab's laptop. The laptop on which i'm working belongs to Krishnaiah. I've transferred the images took with my Mobile to his laptop. Santhosh, you are really looking like a villan yar... pl change the mood... he is in good mood in the next picture.
